Hostels, Clinic, Class room Complex, Others to have access

The much talked about fiber optics campus wifi project of the Federal Polytechnic Bida has been commissioned by the Rector, Engr Aliyu Haruna Baba.

The project, sponsored by the National Communications Commission (NCC)
has 20 mega outposts.

Specifically, areas currently covered include: the Administration Block, CBT complex, NCC complex, Library and School Clinic. Others include BAM, Public Administration, Mechanical and SAAS complex.

The project also covers boys Hostel E and J; female Sheraton A & B; J & O, as well as NICON.

While declaring the project operational, Engr. Dr. Baba expressed gratitude to the NCC for agreeing to complete the second phase which will enable staff and students access the internet from 20 different points within the institution.

The Rector appealed to staff and students to use the wifi for the purpose it is meant for adding that users are monitored to prevent misuse.

The Director, Information and Technology Services(ITS), Engr. David Tsado explained that the contractor used the latest technology and as such users will enjoy the facility.
