Architectural Technology

The department of Architectural Technology was established in the year 1994 with the task of training/educating students of architecture to awarding both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes. The department since inception has had several re-accreditations making the programme a success with thousands of it’s products spread across the world. The department is involved in teaching and research activities, students assessment and presentations at all levels as fulfillment of the academic requirements during each session. The department has a total number of 18 teaching staffs comprising of chief lecturers, principal lecturer, senior lecturers, chief instructor, principal instructors, lecturer I – III and assistant lecturer, with qualifications from PhD, Masters degree, Bachelor degree and HND degree respectively. There are nine non teaching staffs comprising of chief technical officer, higher technician, assistant technician, principal executive officer, principal confidential secretary, Administration officer II, assistant executive officer and laboratory attendants. The department has a total number of 185 students from both ND and HND programmes. The facilities includes 6- studios, 13-staff offices, 1 modelling room, 1-computer studio, 1-data room and laboratory. Workshop practices takes place in building department workshop. The department made a lot of impact on physical and built environment, won so many architectural competitions by it’s students and it’s graduate had high employer rating in their working places.

National Diploma Requirement (ND)
