You are welcome to the School of Engineering, the center of excellence of the polytechnic where we train students in the skill of Engineering Technology in both theoretical and practical aspects. Our laboratories and workshops are one of a kind in whole country, we are respected for turning out fully baked Engineers in all the Engineering fields we offer.
 
Federal Polytechnic Bida was established in 1977 following a decision of the Federal Government of Nigeria to move the institution to Bida. Before then, it was Federal College of Technology, Kano. The first academic session started in April, 1978 with the population of 211 students and 11 senior staff, 33 junior staff. Federal Polytechnic, Bida is a Federal Government tertiary institution situated in Bida, Niger State, Nigeria. Currently, there are seven faculties in the institution.

Engr. Martins Adetokunbo Aderinola

DEAN

Biography

Engr. M. A. Aderinola is a seasoned Chemical Engineer with B. Tech. from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso and M. Eng. from Federal University of Technology, Minna. He has been in the service of the Polytechnic for the past 21 years and has risen to the rank of a Chief Lecturer, he was HOD of Chemical Engineering from 2018 – 2022. He is a corporate member of Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, Corporate member of Nigerian Society of Engineers, and COREN Registered Engineer. He has attended numerous national and international Engineering conferences, and has published in several Engineering journals, He is happily married with children.
