Admission Requirement

National Diploma Requirement (ND)

Candidates for admission into the programme should have a minimum of:

Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) or equivalent with at least 5 credit level passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science in not more than 2 sittings.
GCE ´O’ Level or its equivalent (West African School Certificate/NECO) as in (i)
National Technical Certificate (NTC), NABTEB with 5 credits passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural science.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUNG OF RENEWABLE ENERGY ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

As the name implies, renewable energy engineering is a modern engineering amongst the multifaceted branches of engineering fields we have in the world today. The department of renewable energy engineering was carved out from Mechanical Engineering Department, and became an independent and at the same time full-fledged department on January 15 in the year 2024. It is comprised of lectures from different areas of specialization ranging from all the different fields of Engineering in the polytechnic and as such this gives it a distinctive and unparalleled characteristic amongst all the other branches of engineering that are being studied within and outside the polytechnic.
