Directorate of Gender Issues

The office of the Directorate of Gender Issues was established by Dr. A. A. Dzukogi in the year 2020 with the first Director, Dr. Mrs. Hussaina Hassan. The office is dedicated to promoting and advancing gender equality in Federal Polytechnic, Bida. Our key responsibilities are I. Policy development: The directorate is responsible for formalizing gender equity polices and guidelines within the instruction, this includes developing strategies and addressing gender disparities.Il. Training and awareness: we organize training programmes and workshop to enhance awareness and understanding of the gender related issues.During the last administration, the Directorate achieved the implementation of various initiatives, aimed at creating gender awareness and promoting gender equalities. Some notable once are : a. Gender sensitization programmes The Directorate developed and implemented comprehensive gender sensitization programmes across the institution. This programmes were designed to raise awareness about gender issues, challenges/ stereotypes and promote equal opportunities for all genders. b. Awareness campaigns: The Directorate launched extensive campaign to promote gender equality. These campaign utilized various social media, community outreach, to reach a wide audience and Foster positive attitude towards gender equality.

Dr. Mrs. Manukaji ljeoma Juliana

Head of Directorate/Unit

Dr. Mrs Manukaji ljeoma Juliana hails from Owerri North Local Government area of Imo State. she obtained her National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting with The Federal Polytechnic, Bida Niger state. A Bachelor of Science Degree (B. Sc.) in Accounting with the Kwara State University Malete. Master of Science ( M. Sc ) and Ph.D in Accounting with Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State. Dr. Mrs Manukaji is a Certified National Accountant (CNA) and a member of The Chartered Institute of Strategic Management. She has Published over twenty articles in both Local and International Journals and has presented many scholarly papers in various conferences both physical and virtual. Presently, she is a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Accountancy and Director in the Directorate of Gender Issues, The Federal Polytechnic, Bida Niger State. She has several years of teaching experience in Accounting related courses in the Polytechnic as well as supervised many student projects.
