I welcome you to the School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT). This is a great School in the Federal Polytechnic, Bida. In SICT, the staff and students are known for excellence. Hard work is our watchword. The relationship between the staff and students is cordial.

The School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT) was created in 2015. The School stemmed out of the former School of Applied Arts and Sciences. Since her inception, two Deans have piloted the affairs of the SICT, they are Mr. Ucheanya, Chijiuba C. was the pioneer Dean. Mr. Ndaliman A. Mikailu succeeded him. Dr. Alade, Oyekale Abel, the incumbent Dean is the third in the office. All courses in various departments are accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) which is the regulatory agency for technical education in the country. The departments implement the new NBTE curricula for their various programmes. We organize regular trainings, workshops, and conference to improve teaching and research activities of staff. Also, the School rewards hard work by giving honour to students who deserve it (i.e., students on Dean’s Honour List (DHL)). In sports, School of ICT is the champion of the Schools in the Institution. Currently SICT is the winner of Deans Cup, and the just concluded maiden edition of the Polytechnic SUPER CUP.
