FPB GETS NBTE’S NOD TO RUN SIX NEW PROGRAMMES

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved six new academic programmes for the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State.

This follows last month’s resource inspection by the regulating body.

The six programmes are:

*ND RENEWABLE ENERGY.
*ND FOOD SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY.
*ND PROCUREMENT & SUPPLY.
*ND TAXATION.
*ND HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT.
*HND TOURISM MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY.

In a letter to the institution’s Management, the Director, Polytechnic Programmes, Arc. Ngbede Ogoh, stated that the Board will quickly notify the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB) and the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) of the accreditation status of the new ND programmes.

In reaction, the Rector, Engr. Dr. Aliyu Haruna Baba, thanked Almighty God for the approval and pledged to put everything in place for the smooth takeoff of the programmes.

The Rector also directed Heads of Department of the new programmes to quickly laise with the Director Academic Planning Unit (APU) to work out modalities to immediately admit students.
